About
So where’s this blog all about? Well, let me introduce myself: I’m a young beginning poker player from Europe. With ‘beginning’ I mean I’m playing the game for almost two years now, but I think it takes a lot of time before you can call yourself an experienced player. It all started with small homegames for a couple of nickels and then I built up an online bankroll by playing freerolls. The live games became a little bigger and I switched online rooms a couple of times.
Now there’s one thing bothering me about online poker as a young player whose goal it is to win a WSOP bracelet at some point in the future. I think it’s disappointing that there aren’t enough deepstack tournaments available online for rather small bankrolls. You absolutely have to place multi-table tournaments in the first place, because deepstack single table sit ‘n gos just don’t exist. Most rooms don’t even have deepstack MTT’s, so how can you practice online for the big live tourneys?
Luckily there are the big rooms like Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars , who offer those tournaments. However, you need a decent bankroll for these on FTP as the buy-in for most is $24+2. You can find smaller buy-ins, but the traffic is really low on those tourneys. So in fact, only PokerStars remains, and that’s where I’m gonna play.
So I’ll play MTT’s and will report my experiences on this blog. I show what happened and give tips about some hands and plays, so maybe you can learn something and use this knowledge when you’re playing a MTT yourself. Meanwhile, I’ll post some movies from my great poker hero Eli Elezra now and then, because a new poker generation can’t come into existence without learning from the current godfathers!
